Hunters Double Nomination

Two of HuntersÂ’ projects have recently been nominated as finalists for industry awards: the Building ConsultantsÂ’ Sutton Estate in Rotherhithe and the ArchitectsÂ’ North Cray School Site.
The Building Consultants recently completed the refurbishment of the Sutton Estate has been nominated as a finalist in this years Inside Housing Sustainability Awards under the ‘Sustainable Social Housing Refurbishment Project Of The Year’. The awards ‘recognise those projects and organisations at the vanguard of housing sustainability best practice’. The project is £10m regeneration project consisted of both the refurbishment and modernisation of seven blocks in seven years whilst using the latest sustainable methods and technologies and is believed to be the first refurbishment project to achieve an Eco Homes rating of ‘excellent’ in the UK. The Architects’ North Cray School site (otherwise known as ‘The Kingfishers’ or ‘Davies Way/Chambers Avenue, Bexley’) has been shortlisted for RTPI London planning awards under best new place to live. The scheme included 103 dwellings for clients L&Q/Tower Homes and Hunters acted as executive architects. The winners will be announced in the New Year.
