Hunters Achieves Environmental Status

31/3/09

HuntersÂ’ Environmental Management System has been independently assessed and certified as meeting BS EN ISO 14001: 2004.

The EMS accreditation covers diverse business activities including ethical and environmental purchasing policies, energy usage, transportation, recycling / reduction, paper use, water use, domestic contracts and staff awareness.

The sustainability team, which is represented by different disciplines throughout the practice has continually improved Hunters green credentials; from purchasing recycled paper with minimal chlorine content to reducing business mileage. It aims to continually promote staff awareness so the whole practice becomes responsible for reducing Hunters environmental impact.

Tim Ashton, Director of Sustainability said ‘We have carried out many real improvements to the way we operate our business and have set ourselves challenging goals to continually reduce the impact our business has on the environment. Receiving the certification reinforces our commitment to this.’
