Last week the Employer’s Agent team’s scheme at Vale Street won ‘Best Sustainable Development’ in the eminent What House? Awards 2009.
Providing 60 mixed tenure homes, the scheme is a landmark sustainable development in Lambeth. Previously a council depot site, it has been transformed into an ecological friendly place to live and is one of LondonÂ’s first completed Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 schemes.
The schemes attributes clearly impressed the judges who thought it a ‘clearly thought and integrated sustainable strategy’.
Toby Jay, Associate Director who led the Hunters team, said ‘It’s an outstanding achievement and we are really proud. Not only is Vale Street set to be a leader in this field, but we have happy tenants, happy clients and reduced energy costs’.
